Welcome: Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!

Welcome to Ella and Nesta's Little Room! If it's the first time you visit our blog let us introduce ourselves: we are a Mother and Daughter team who enjoy quilting, sewing and making in general. We love sharing our ideas with the wonderful sewing comunity and have recently started a series of fun tutorials we've had a very good response to. We hope you enjoy having a look around. To our friends, welcome back! It's great to have you here again!

And now for the giveaway! We are giving away, thanks to the very kind publisher, a copy of the third issue of Love Patchwork & Quilting to one lucky winner. This beautiful magazine dedicated to modern quilting is packed full of great projects and articles. Here's a glimpse of what's inside this issue, including a packet of 30 pretty heart pins (the photos are from our copy, we haven't been reading the giveaway copy, in case your were wondering!):





To have a chance of winning this copy of Love Patchwork & Quilting all you have to do is:
  • leave a comment telling us what you're sewing at the moment or your next sewing project;
  • for followers new and old, another chance of winning: leave a second comment telling us how you follow our blog!
The giveaway is open to everyone and we will post the prize anywhere in the world (if the post office lets us!), closing on  May 16 at 5 p.m. PST. Mr Random will then choose a winner who will be contacted by mail.

    I love this new(ish) magazine, such great projects from really talented people. I'm nearly finished cutting 1600 squares of fabric 2.5 inches each to make the Tokyo Subway Quilt pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. The cutting has been a bit of a never ending task but I'm really looking forward to this one, I've had it on my to do list for ages. Thanks for the great giveaway.

    I have several UFOs and WIP I'm plugging away at.
    - A queen-size quilt for my (now) 5 year old that I started when he was 1. The top is done, now to figure out how on earth to quilt it at home in my tiny apartment!
    - A lap quilt that is pretty much done except for one repair for my BFF who has cancer. This should be done-done this week!
    - A toddler quilt for another BFF's baby girl. Just have to bind it!
    - A lap quilt for my sister, I've laid out the top and finished all blocks, next step is putting it all together!
    - My WIP is my dyosampler quilt. This is the fun one :)

    This is a really neat magazine to have in your possession. Right now I am working on a deer wallhanging.     I just started work on a baby quilt. I've done all the fussy cutting (it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated), but I have to either put the cat in time out or find time when the S.O. is home to have him police the cat so that I can finish the rest of the cutting!
